Are you seeking an opportunity to advance your EHS career and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple locations?

We are recruiting for a full-time position as an employee of our utility client in Baltimore, MD. The position requires being on-site in Baltimore, MD. Relocation assistance within the US is available. This is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide. 

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Corporate EHS Director, the Regional EHS Manager will be responsible for the management, overall direction and oversight of EHS programs to support the 10 facilities in Baltimore MD, WV, DC and Atlanta, GA. 
You will establish, implement, audit and continuously improve EHS practices, policies and procedures with the goal of achieving the highest levels of protection for employees and company assets, while working with operations and other business leaders to achieve the highest levels of efficient productivity.


Minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Baltimore, MD on a daily basis.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Eight (8) or more years of EHS management experience in manufacturing or utility operations
  • Demonstrated success with multi-media environmental compliance programs including air, water and waste
  • Experience overseeing workers’ compensation, RTW and FFD programs
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time


Additional preferred competencies include:

  • Professional Certification from a nationally recognized organization.


Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Partner with plant leadership colleagues and serve as SME regarding interpretation and application of federal, state and local EHS regulations.
  • Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies
  • Manage, mentor and guide EHS Staff and interns
  • Lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance
  • Lead EHS audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed
  • Lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to: Water (SPCC, storm); Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous); Air (internal respiratory and external emissions)
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programs.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local EHS regulations.

Salary range: $110,000 to $130,000
