EHS Specialist in Janesville, WI, Job 1873

Our manufacturing client in Janesville, WI is seeking an EHS Specialist to join their team. The position requires being on-site in Janesville, WI. Relocation assistance within the US is available. This is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide. 


What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of EHS, you will be responsible for supporting the management and overall direction of EHS programs and activities at the facility

You will guide, coach, mentor and support all site employees on how to protect themselves, each other and company assets in the most productive and efficient manner.

Partial List of Minimum Requirements:

  • Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 or more years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or other industrial environments or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated success handling multi-media environmental programs
  • Demonstrated understanding of OSHA regulations and reporting
  •  
    Additional Preferred (not required) Competencies:
    5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing environments
  • Professional Certification from a nationally recognized organization (BCSP, NASP, IHMM, COSS, NREP, etc.)

  • Major Responsibilities:
    Support the Director of EHS and partner with plant operations leadership regarding interpretation of federal, state and local EHS regulations
  • Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies
  • Participate and/or lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance
  • Participate and/or lead EHS audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed
  • Participate and/or lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to: Water (SPCC, storm); Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous); Air (internal respiratory and external emissions)
  • Participate and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives regarding EHS policies and programs
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local EHS regulations

Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000
