Is your career ready for 2023?

Have you heard the expression “End the year strong?”

Usually it means 1) Review the year that is coming to a close, and 2) Plan for the year ahead.

Both are good and useful exercises. But, What else?  (Consider having a VISTA of your career.  Vista is “a pleasing view, especially one seen through a long, narrow opening.”)

Here are five tips for ending your year strong:

  • – What is your vision of the Future You? Get goals. Get specific. Create a vision board.
  • – What do you need to do to improve yourself? Look at your goals to determine the skills required. Find resources to build and enhance your skills and capabilities. What experiences will help you to develop? Do you need a coach?
  • – What is your current situation that you are starting from? Identify your strengths. Pinpoint your weaknesses. Specify your development goals.
  • – What steps will you take to hit the targets you are after? What support will you need? What resources will you require?
  • – What actions best align with your aims and aspirations?

It’s incredibly hard to predict the future with any degree of certainty. But I am convinced that you can create the future you desire.

With a positive “vista” on your future, you will be bringing the future you desire into reality.
